Masala Pav is a spicy, tasty and easy to make snack recipe. It’s a popular Mumbai street food similar to items like Vada PavPav BhajiSev puriDabeliMisal pav etc. It’s nothing but quick and simple version of Pav Bhaji as it does not need lot of vegetables and elaborate preparation.

Mumbai restaurants and street food vendors sell their own version of this dish. I still remember the restaurant ‘Chaat cafe’ where I had it for the first time! My version of adding pav pieces in prepared masala is inspired by that restaurant. The other variation of this dish is to put prepared masala inside pav or over the roasted pav.

Serve this as an evening snack, breakfast or even a main course. It’s a great way to utilize leftover pav! Above all, it gets ready in just 20 minutes.

Step by Step Recipe of Masala Pav:

  • Roughly make pieces of pav and keep aside.
  • Finely chop 1 onion and 3 tomatoes.
