Tawa Pulao is an absolutely delish Indian rice preparation and a popular Mumbai street food. It’s like a traditional pulao with goodness of all veggies only with Pav Bhaji Masala instead of Garam masala. If you are a Pav Bhaji lover, then it’s a double treat for you!

Mumbai street food is quite famous for it’s overall addictive taste and quick preparation. Tawa (a large griddle) is used for fast and high heat cooking in fast food restaurants. Also mixing is very easy on such a large surface. Hence just like pav bhaji, this pulao is made on tawa and hence the name.

Don’t worry if you don’t own a griddle, as tawa pulao can also be prepared without tawa 😛 The best part of this dish is you can use any vegetables you like and even leftover rice! All in all it’s a great one pot meal and can be served as snack or main course.
