I am sure many of you must have tasted the famous Mumbai street food ‘Vada Pav‘ and irresistible chutneys that are served with it. The spicy dry powder which brings more taste to Vada pav is Dry Garlic Chutney.

This lehsun chutney is very simple to make. It has strong aroma and spicy flavor. I usually make it fresh in small amount as it tastes better. Although you can make it in a big batch and store in an airtight container.
Below is my version of Dry Garlic Chutney Recipe:
Dry garlic chutney is a dry, spicy and aromatic blend of dry coconut and garlic.
- 1 cup Dry Coconut Powder
- 6-7 Garlic Pods
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1-2 tsp Red chili Powder

Peel the garlic and keep aside.

In a blender, add peeled garlic, dry coconut powder, salt and red chili powder. Blend into a smooth mixture.

Remove from blender and keep in an airtight container.
- You can also dry roast coconut powder and garlic. This way chutney becomes more dry and stays good for long.
- Do not blend too much as it makes the chutney wet and it will not stay good for long.
Step by Step Recipe of Dry Garlic Chutney:
- Peel garlic pods and cut them into pieces.
- Gather all the ingredients; Dry coconut powder, peeled garlic pods, red chili powder and salt.
- Transfer above ingredients into a blender.
- Blend into a smooth mixture.
