I have always been fascinated by DIY Art and crafts. Handmade art gives personalized touch to your house. Hence, I try to make something on my own to decorate my apartment. After making home decor items like Lord Ganesha Frame with Aluminium Foil and Vase with Pringles can; I decided to make wall decor to adorn our dull and boring walls.

I used a foam board and craft papers to make this inexpensive yet beautiful wall decor. This DIY wall art is simple to make and is sure to grab guest’s attention.

Below are the required materials and step by step procedure to make this decor :

Materials Used :

• Foam board / Canvas
• Construction papers / Craft papers : Pink, Blue, Green, Orange, Purple and White
• Pencil
• Eraser
• Glue
• Scissor
• Black Marker (Sharpie)

How-To Proceed :

For Petals :

• Draw same or different size of Marquise(or eye) like shapes on the paper.
• Repeat the same on other colored papers including white.
• Petals can be made smaller, larger or thinner.
• Draw zigzag pattern on the white petals with black marker.

For Flowers :

• Cut 2 white circles, one big and one small for flower’s center.
• For bigger flower, stick the big circle far from edges of the board.
• For smaller flower, stick the small circle quite near to the edges.
• Now stick the petals randomly around the centers.

• Trim the petals sticking out of the board.
• Beautiful wall decor is ready.

Suggestions:

• You can choose any color and shape of your choice. In this variant, I have used just 4 colors : Pink, Blue, Green and White.

• To make this wall decor sturdy and long lasting, you can use canvas instead of foam board.
• You can also frame the art to secure it.
• This makes a beautiful art piece which can be a perfect gift for dear ones.
